Mike Richards 
Co-Founder

 

With an extensive network and years of experience, Mike is widely regarded as an esteemed expert in the super-prime residential property market and is the primary contact for all projects at PH Mallorca.

 

His affection for Port Andratx originated during a family getaway in the early 2000s, while observing the unmet demands of international buyers seeking homes built and designed to the highest standards.

Philip Hughes 
Co-Founder & CEO

 

Co-Founder and CEO of PH Mallorca, Philip is the Founder of UK based PH Property Holdings Ltd., who over the last 30 years have established an enviable reputation for creating some of the UK’s highest quality homes.

 

With a mutual passion for exceptional architecture and design, Philip and Mike shared their vision to develop super-prime residential property in Port Andratx. In 2004 a strong partnership was formed and PH Mallorca was born.

Alec Dudfield
Operations Director

 

Alec directs all day-to-day operations at PH Mallorca, from the inception of new projects, through every stage of development to successful completion.

 

Alec and his family have lived full-time in Mallorca since 2007 and he is a passionate advocate of the Island and its environment.

Pablo Bouzón Vavassori 
Senior Project Manager

Pablo is a Civil Engineer and one of our most experienced Senior Project Managers. His keen eye for detail and ability to solve complex issues has helped us complete some of our most  spectacular projects, to the precise requirements of our most demanding clients.

Ángel Baixauli Tarazona
Senior Project Manager

Ángel is a highly experienced Technical Architect with a wealth of experience developing residential projects. He combines responsibilities for project and licence applications with the delivery of fully completed projects.

Encarna Romera Solano
Technical Architect

Internationally experienced Technical Architect Encarna holds a crucial role in our team as the Director of Works on our construction sites. Her unwavering commitment to attaining the highest quality outcomes, coupled with the remarkable patience and exceptional ability to consistently deliver projects on time, is widely admired and highly regarded.

Marcos Nicolau Fisher
Technical Architect

Marcos has been an invaluable part of the PH Mallorca team since our establishment. With a versatile skillset, he has earned a well-deserved reputation for accomplishing the seemingly impossible and has played a significant role in the construction of our most esteemed and intricate projects, showcasing his expertise and dedication.

Pep Toni
Architect & Planning Specialist

 

Pep is Mallorca born and bred, a highly respected Architect and Planning specialist and one of Mallorca’s most accomplished professionals in the field. His profound understanding of planning law, public administration and extensive experience working with various government bodies have been key to the successful development of some very complex projects.

Anouk Mooij
Marketing & Communications

 

Anouk supports Sales and Marketing across PH Mallorca, acting as the central point of coordination between clients, agents, media partners and our internal team. She leads client communications, relationship management, and marketing initiatives, connecting with clients and partners worldwide through her multilingual background. With a focus on clarity, empathy, and attention to detail, Anouk builds strong, genuine relationships and ensures that every interaction reflects our commitment to quality, trust, and exceptional client care.

Raquel Sánchez López
Accounts & Administration

Raquel began her journey with us as an administration assistant and has since evolved into a key figure, responsible for managing all our accounts. She skilfully handles the day-to-day needs of the business, ensuring that the entire PH Mallorca family remains well-organised and supported.

In Spring 2023, we were absolutely thrilled to complete and move in to our stunning new showcase offices, strategically positioned in the prime waterfront location of Port Andratx. This achievement represents a significant milestone in PH Mallorca’s history. After nearly two decades occupying offices discreetly tucked away in the port, we were delighted to take down the hoardings and reveal our new business home.
 
We recognised the untapped potential of the building long before we finally acquired it in 2015. The process of creating the refurbishment project, obtaining all necessary licenses to restore the heritage-protected structure and carrying out the works has been long and challenging, but we are delighted with the results.

 

OUR OFFICES

We recognised the untapped potential of the building long before we finally acquired it in 2015. The process of creating the refurbishment project, obtaining all necessary licenses to restore the heritage-protected structure and carrying out the works has been long and challenging, but we are delighted with the results.

 

The building forms part of a row of houses that are rumoured to have been originally constructed in the 1800s as fisherman's shacks intended for boat storage. Throughout the years, the houses have served many purposes, including accommodating fishermen and facilitating small-scale local industries such as soap production. Today they are a mix of smart apartments and boutique shops.

 
The previous owner, who was born in the house, emigrated to the United States as a young man, but despite the distance he maintained a strong connection to his hometown and returned to enjoy Port Andratx every summer until his 90s. It was a special moment to be able to show his daughter the finished property and see her delight at how we have sensitively restored the building.
 
By creating a unique PH Mallorca project in this exceptional waterfront location, we are both pleased and proud to be able to welcome existing and new clients inside to visit us and discuss their own projects and ideas.
Having operated in Port Andratx for two decades, we have become a very visible part of its vibrant day to day life.
 
Refurbishing the old building in the middle of the town with limited access meant we had to be highly organised to minimise disruption to our neighbours, with the construction process spanning approximately two years, allowing us ample time to meticulously refine every minute detail of the building.
 
We prioritised the preservation of numerous original elements of the house, including the cherished old balustrade and the quintessential Mallorquin shutters. To ensure authenticity, we even commissioned an exact replica of the original hydraulic tiles from the famed Mallorquin tile company Huguet.
 
For the interior design, with the guiding hand of trusted Architects Vidal Piñeiro, we worked with our long term suppliers Espacio Home Design, who helped to curate the perfect furnishings for our interior spaces, creating a harmonious atmosphere that seamlessly blends functionality and aesthetics.

 

We are delighted to enjoy some amazing artworks which have been graciously provided by Drew Aaron and our friends at Gallery Red, which add an extra touch of brilliance to our newly unveiled spaces.
 
As we reflect upon the images of our finished home we are filled with an overwhelming sense of accomplishment. Our first visit feels like a distant memory, when the vision of what could be achieved was difficult for anyone without a very colourful imagination. 
 
We are grateful to everyone who took part in the design and construction process for their hard work, attention to detail and tolerance of our impossibly high standards.
